Spanish Language Courses
At Pequeños Spanish Academy, we match students into classes based on their existing ability to read, write, and converse in Spanish. Each class is taught 1:1 to ensure maximum retention.
On-level Spanish Classes
Duration: 3 years: 1 year for Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and Spanish 3 respectively
This set of courses is designed for students who are beginning their academic Spanish journey and solely want to excel at the state based requirements for the classes/be proficient in the future. Students will learn fundamental grammar rules, introduce themselves, and write short paragraphs in Spanish.
Honors Spanish Classes
Duration: 3 years: 1 year for Spanish 1 Honors, Spanish 2 Honors, and Spanish 3 Honors respectively
This set of courses is also designed for students who are beginning their academic Spanish journey and plan to take college-level Spanish classes/be fluent in the future. In preparation for college classes, Students will learn advanced grammar rules, maintain conversations, and be able to comprehend and write multiple paragraphs in Spanish.
College Level
Spanish Classes
Duration: 1 year for each AP Spanish class, 2 years for each IB Spanish class
This set of courses is designed for students who already have a background in Spanish and seek fluency in the future. For AP Coursework, students will master reading comprehension, writing essays in Spanish, and retain conversation skills in preparation for their AP exam at the end of the year. For IB Coursework, students will focus on interpersonal speaking, literary analysis, and verbal fluency as well as retaining grammar and writing skills in preparation for IB exams in 2 years.
Important Note: Classes happen weekly, and can be held concurrently or upto a year in advance with courses occurring at school. Due to 1:1 classes, students can receive guidance on school projects, homework help, and personalized tips to maximize their performance in class in addition to new content.
